This week, Glass Alliance Europe adopted a position paper on the on-going energy crisis in Europe. The position paper lists the measures that are urgently needed for the European industry to stay afloat.
The list includes key priorities for the glass fibre industry, in particular:
- To ensure the continuous supply of energy to continuous production processes which cannot be stopped
- To swiftly introduce measures to curb the energy costs for both gas and electricity in the short term
- The rapid introduction of trade measures to address the exponential increases in imports resulting from the soaring energy prices in Europe
