About us – Glass Fibre

Glass Fibre Europe, founded in 1987, is the voice of the European continuous filament glass fibre industry. It is composed of 6 companies: 3B the fibreglass company, FYSOL SAS, Johns Manville, Owens Corning, Saint-Gobain Vetrotex and Valmiera Glass. Glass Fibre Europe represents all the major producers of continuous filament glass fibre in Europe.

Glass Fibre Europe is a committed partner to the European Union, interacting on behalf of its members with European institutions, media, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders. Glass Fibre Europe is registered in the EU Transparency Register under n°635608817518-09.

Glass Fibre Europe aims to promote the positive contributions of glass fibre products to society; as well as to foster the safe, environmentally friendly and competitive production of glass fibre products in Europe. We provide support to the industry in Europe, across 4 main areas:
