Ahead of the European Commission college discussion on EU–China relations, Aegis Europe has sent a letter to President Ursula von der Leyen and the European Commissioners calling for the creation of a dedicated EU trade defence instrument to address global overcapacities.
The letter, supported by Aegis Europe members including our association, highlights the growing pressure that global overcapacities and unfair trade practices continue to place on European industries.
European industries are calling on the European Commission to modernise the EU trade defence toolbox and equip Europe with the instruments needed to respond effectively to today’s market distortions and preserve a level playing field for EU manufacturing.
